Deep Breathing Practice
Deep conscious breathing is deeply relaxing and rejuvenating.
This half hour practice revitalises your whole body guiding you into four different patterns of yogic breathing . Sound vibration and light visualizations help to deepen the experience.
Regular practice dramatically helps to improve natural breathing and respiratory efficiency.

Heart Meditation
In this sitting meditation practice, with the help of subtle sound vibrations, you bring your awareness first to the movements of your breath in your belly and then to the movement of your breath in the centre of your chest. You remain with your heart centre and in silence are guided into an awareness of the pause between your in breath and your out breath. With awareness the stillness in the pause lengthens and deepens. You are taken into a space of deep, nourishing inner peace.
Meditation
In this popular sitting meditation practice you firstly calm your mind by focussing on the touch of your breath in your nostrils. You then move your awareness to the centre of your chest and are guided into the Buddhist practice of evoking loving feelings for someone close to you and transferring those warm feelings to someone you have problems with. The feelings are amplified with the help of soft harp music.
Relaxing With Your Breath
Breathing deeply you are guided into using the relaxing power of your exhalation to release tension in each part of your body. You then focus on your breath in your belly and visualize it as a calm nourishing golden energy that is feeding a seed of light in the centre of your belly. With every exhalation the light spreads through your belly and lower trunk. This is repeated with your awareness in your heart centre and then in your throat and then in the centre of your head. You are then taken into the whole body experience of yourself as golden light with soft music deepening your relaxation response.
Yoga Nidra 1
Yoga nidra or “psychic sleep” is a deep relaxation technique in which you lie down and surrender to a gentle voice guidance rotating your awareness through your body helping you to release tension. The yoga nidra resolution offered at the beginning and end of the practice can be very powerful. Further information can be found on my website under “ Practical Advice”
Yoga Nidra 2
This whole body relaxation practice known as yoga nidra can be enjoyed by anyone but it was designed to help sleeping difficulties. After being gently guided into as deep state of relaxation you are invited to make a resolve to let go of issues that are impacting on your quality of sleep. A yoga nidra resolve is a very powerful tool of transformation. Yoga Nidra 3
In this half hour yoga nidra, after moving into a deep state of relaxation by rotating your awareness through your body with subtle sound vibration, you are invited to move into the pause between your breaths. This lengthens as you become more aware of it. In that space of exquisite stillness there can be a profound “letting go”. Yoga Nidra 4
This half hour deep relaxation begins with full body stretches . You are then guided into focussing your breath and awareness on releasing tension in your belly, your chest, and the inside of your head before rotating your awareness through every part of your body feeling it as heavy. A second rotation invites you to feel each part of your body as light. The practice ends with full body awareness in which you experience a delicious lightness of being. Relaxing music accompanies this process of progressive relaxation.
Finding Inner Peace
In the three practices on this CD Gillian’s voice guides you into beautiful spaces of inner peace that will relax, uplift and rejuvenate you.
The first practice uses a breath awareness technique and is perfect for time-out recuperation during a busy day. The second practice is a classic half-hour whole body relaxation known as yoga nidra. The third practice is a sitting meditation practice with healing sounds and visualizations of inner light. All three practices are suitable for both experienced and inexperienced meditators and for people of any are, religious or spiritual persuasion.
