Relaxation for Children
The short term and long term benefits of a regular deep relaxation practice cannot be overestimated. It is undoubtedly one of the most precious gifts you can offer yourself and your child. On learning to relax, children sleep better, play better, concentrate better and are in all manner of ways happier and more delightful to be with.
On this CD Gillian, with the help of relaxing music, lovingly guides young listeners into an experience of physical calmness and deep inner peace using body and breath awareness and visualisations.
There are two shorter practices particularly suited for ages 4-9 years, and a half hour practice designed for older children, but all three practices can be enjoyed by young people of all ages.
Guided relaxation of this kind can deepen and awaken spiritual experiences but Gillian deliberately avoids any reference to specific religious beliefs.
The booklet accompanying this CD offers advice to parents and teachers on how best to introduce these practices to children.
