Gillian's Relaxation Two comprises two half hour practices.
In the first one you imagine yourself doing some very gentle exercises and this leads you into imagining yourself as different animals. (You discover firsthand the power of mind over matter.
Mental and physical tensions are released without any physical effort.) In the second yoga nidra practice, after being guided into a state of deep relaxation, you are taken on an inner journey into a sacred space of healing and empowerment.
The practices were inspired by the work of American human potential specialist Jean Houston.
The sessions on this CD were inspired by the recent revival of Sacred Psychology in the West. Sacred Psychology acknowledges a spiritual dimension to the human psyche and understands that myth, ritual, dreaming, deep relaxation and meditation are all time honoured ways of connecting us with that dimension.
